Green Hydrogen

Ventus is developing several Green Hydrogen projects across different countries. Kahirós is a successful pilot project under construction being the first pilot of green hydrogen-based mobility
for heavy transport in Uruguay and Latin America.

  • Ventus is the developer, sponsor and constructor of this project in conjunction with leading companies in the country.
  • It consists of the construction of a solar farm and a hydrogen plant that will fuel 6 Hyundai FCEV trucks.
  • The trucks will provide logistic service to the forestry/cellulose industry with great potential for expansion.
  • The final investment decision was reached in September 2024, with operations scheduled to start
    in 2026.

Success stories

The Hybrid Farm in Argentina

  • Cordoba's largest renewable energy project and the biggest hybrid facility in Latin America: 163 MW (155 MW wind plus an additional 8 MW awarded in 2024).
  • The wind farm, under construction since
2023, features 25 Vestas 6.2 MW turbines, delivering a capacity factor of 51.7%.
  • This project is set to save up to 350,000
tons of CO2 annually while supplying clean energy to 190,000 households.

Uruguay’s First Private Solar Farm

  • The 14 MWp Albisu I Solar Farm, developed
by Ventus for Atlántica Sustainable Infrastructure, is a trailblazer in Uruguay.
  • It generates 23,500 MWh annually with over 24,000 solar panels, marking a milestone as the first energy project enabling direct private-to-private energy sales.
  • The construction phase created over 150 jobs, with women comprising 14% of the workforce.

Colombia’s Renewable Portfolio

  • Since 2018, Ventus and Atlántica have collaborated to develop a 680 MWp portfolio of solar and wind projects in Colombia.
  • These projects, designed for maximum efficiency by Ventus’ engineering and O&M teams, include
operational plants, ongoing constructions, and initiatives awaiting final permits.

Key players in the region

Pampero's development team is supported by Ventus' extensive experience in engineering and construction of renewable projects,
ensuring the technical quality of projects. We have extensive experience in specialized software such as WindPro, PVSyst, WAsP, PSSE,
DigSilent, Windographer and GIS systems.
